- Ask, “Why do you think Alex didn’t want to talk about where his dad is?” and “Have you ever felt this way?” Talk together about what it meant that Alex’s dad was incarcerated. (Depending on children’s age, you might write the word “incarcerated” down and help kids say it out loud.)
