Activity

Gather children together. Explain they will watch a video about Elmo making a plan and solving his problem as he tries to button his pajamas.

1. Play the following video. Pause when you see each prompt and talk about what is happening.
2. Ask children about people who help them. Say, “Who helps you when you feel frustrated or disappointed? It helps when someone who cares about you helps you try and try again. Who helped Elmo?”
3. You can use the “Breathe, Think, Do” Chart to discuss how Elmo worked through his problem.
