Children will practice breathing to help calm down when they have a problem.
Activity
Explain and demonstrate deep breathing. Have kids practice along with you. Then do the “Breathe Dance”:
- Have children dance with all their energy as you play a song.
- When you stop the music, invite them to freeze and take three slow, deep breaths.
- Repeat until the song is finished.
