This week...
Children will review all the feeling words they’ve explored so far.
Activity
Today they will review feeling words. You’ll need the Word Gardens from previous lessons and a ball.
Step 1
Display the “Happy,” “Sad,” and “Mad” Word Gardens from the previous weeks. Have children “pick” a flower, say the word, and do its pose.
Step 2
Gather children in a circle. Hold the ball and tell a story about when you felt happy.
Step 3
Pass the ball to a child and have that child share an example of when he or she also felt happy. Take turns passing the ball. Repeat with “sad” and “mad.”
Call-and-Response
Children will review the feeling words as they chant and move. As you say each line, prompt the children to repeat it after you.

Three happy words can tell you about me.
Happy. Thrilled. Ecstatic.
One, two, three.
Three sad words can tell you about me.
Sad. Disappointed. Miserable.
One, two, three.
Three mad words can tell you about me.
Mad. Frustrated. Furious.
