Children will investigate "sad" feelings with an art activity.
Together, you’ll create a feeling box or bag into which children will put pictures of “sad” feelings.
Prepare the box or bag. Decorate it with pictures (cut from magazines) showing “sad” feelings.
Show children the box. Explain that they will put pictures of sad feelings in the box.
Have the children draw pictures about sad words: “sad,” “disappointed,” “miserable.” During the activity, ask children to talk about their drawings.
Put all the pictures in the box when they are finished.
