Sesame Street in Communities

WQLN PBS NPR

For more than 50 years, WQLN PBS NPR has been the Lake Erie region’s passport to a wider world—a world of discovery, exploration, lifelong learning, and an ongoing respectful exchange of ideas.

WQLN PBS features safe, educational children’s programming every day, alongside top-quality history, arts, and documentary programming, with objective, balanced news from PBS every evening. Our second and third TV channels—Create and World—showcase the best DIY and public affairs programs anywhere on public television.

SSIC is an important resource for the caregivers in children’s lives. It provides ideas on how to deal with complicated issues in a fun, interactive way. WQLN is the cornerstone for educational children’s programming and activities and we’re committed to the emotional and physical health of every child in our region. In partnership with Early Learning Resource Center Region 1 and IU5, our provider trainings are reaching into rural areas to educate as many providers as possible on how to effectively use SSIC.org.
