Alabama Public Television
At Alabama Public Television, our education staff provides professional development and educational opportunities free-of-charge to early childhood educators and families across the entire state of Alabama. We provide face-to-face and virtual trainings and events that utilize and disseminate new and innovative resources. Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC) presented us a great opportunity to introduce new resources and a wealth of practical, helpful information to the populations we serve. Increasing services to the rural areas of the state is one of APT’s goals and the trainings and community summit supported by SSIC furthered this goal. Our success with SSIC would not been possible without our partners at Auburn University’s Family Child Care Partnerships and the Family Guidance Center of Alabama. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to share such helpful resources with educators and families across the state of Alabama and will continue to do so in the future!
