Family League of Baltimore (Family League) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the designated Local Management Board for the City of Baltimore. Since 1991, it has served as an architect of change in Baltimore by promoting data-driven, collaborative initiatives and aligning resources to create lasting outcomes for children, families and communities. Stewardship, performance, trust, respect, innovation, and equity are the core values that guide its work.
Family League of Baltimore will embed and integrate SSIC into their support of the Family Recovery Program as well as their work to help improve birth outcomes in vulnerable communities through its Home Visiting program. This will include:
- Training Home Visiting front line staff and supervisors and family recovery caseworkers, parent mentors, judges, and defense attorneys on resources around resilience, trauma, and parental substance abuse.
- Promoting SSIC resources through their multiple communication channels and integrating SSIC on planned events including Family Recovery Program quarterly graduations and Home Visiting graduation videos.
- Participating in research activities that will include virtual surveys and focus groups with providers and caregivers and interviews with community leaders to better understand SSIC’s inherent strategies and activities that can positively impact and heighten community change around children’s overall well-being.
