Share this video the parents and grandparents in your program. In the video, a little girl is spending time with her grandfather. Grown-ups and children can talk about the special skills and interests they share, and children can share how they would like to spend time with their grandparent(s).
You might suggest to parents or grandparents that they:
- Start sharing family stories and sketching out a family tree.
- Prepare a special family recipe together, and talk about where it comes from.
- Make a plan to share grandparents’ special skills and talents.
- Exchange pictures or notes to let grandparents and grandkids know how much they are loved and valued.
